Students from a college in Norfolk have been decking Holkham Hall with boughs of holly ahead of a series of festive events that are about to take place in this gem on the North Norfolk coast
The learners are all studying on a floristry course at the Norfolk campus of Easton and Otley College.
They travelled to the stately home this week to help the stunning venue look magical ahead of the Christmas Candlelight Tours that start on Sunday 1 December 2019. Some of the students constructed a beautiful garland above the staircase leading to the chapel.
This is the eighth year in a row the college has collaborated with Holkham in this way. Floristry lecturer, Amanda Hughes, said, “Our students work on a variety of voluntary projects throughout the year to give them new skills that will help them in their future careers. We are very grateful to Holkham for giving us this wonderful opportunity.”
The Countess of Leicester, said, “We can’t wait to help visitors get in the Christmas spirit when they come along to Holkham for our popular festive tours and we would like to thank the college for their ongoing support.”
