Easton and Otley college started day one of the 2019 Suffolk Show by winning a clutch of awards in farming and horticultural competitions.
In terms of farming, students received a best, reserve champion, a
first, two thirds and a fourth whilst showing cattle and ewes.
Outside the flower tent, budding garden designers picked up a silver gilt medal and a commendation for their design based around the flags of the world.
On the main marquee, staff handed out advice and guidance to visitors.
Elsewhere, floristry students provided displays for Archant and BBC Radio Suffolk, and three construction teams are part way through an inter-college skills challenge. They will find out how they got on tomorrow.
College spokesperson, John Nice, said, “The Suffolk Show really helps showcase the college and shows visitors a glimpse of just some of the amazing work that is achieved by our students and staff. We can’t wait for day two.”
